Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September. 21 in 1983) is an acclaimed American actress. Particularly, she was the character Shannon Rutherford from ABC's Lost television show, as well as Kim Mills for the Taken Trilogy. After her parents divorced, she moved with her mom into Los Angeles. The actress landed her first part, as Rachel's Room's main character in 2001 despite struggling financially. She went on to earn a Young Artist Award nomination in 2002, for her role as the 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder in Greenwich. Grace played Shannon Rutherford on the Lost TV show in 2004. She was the main protagonist for two seasons and won the Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace decided to concentrate on film after playing opposite Tom Welling's character in The Fog, in 2005. The following year, she appeared as a character in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well as, alongside the Liam Neeson character Kim Mills as Kim Mills for Taken. She reprised this role in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). She also played Alice on Malice in Wonderland which is a modern version of the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was back on the Lost series for the last two episodes as Shannon. She was in 2013 for Season 6 of Californication. She plays Faith she is an admirer and muse to the celebrities. She is a Gyllenhaal. She's the daughters of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), as well as older in age than Jake Gyllenhaal. She started her acting career in the teen years with minor roles in several of the films of her father and starred alongside her brother in the cult favorite Donnie Darko (2001). Then she appeared on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for both her performances as the main character actress in Secretary (2002), the erotic drama about romance as well as Sherrybaby (2006). In 2021 Gyllenhaal made her writing and directing debut in the psychological drama The Lost Daughter for which she was awarded the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated to win the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
